To connect your PC, Mac, or Laptop to the Internet:

You will need an Ethernet port in your computer or laptop. Most personal computers and laptops today come with an Ethernet port. This port looks like a telephone jack, but larger. In order to connect your PC to the network, you will need an Ethernet cable. This cable will look similar to a phone cable, but thicker with larger ends. Follow the steps below to connect your PC to the network and begin enjoying the fastest internet service in the area.

1. Connect your ethernet cable to the wall outlet, usually labeled “Data.” If you live in an IP Advantage community, this will be the blue port.

2. Connect the other end of your ethernet cable to the ethernet port on your Laptop or PC.

3. Turn on your PC or laptop and wait until it loads your operating system. Open your preferred web browser and you should be able to access the Internet. If you are not able to surf the web, make sure all cables are plugged in and there is a link light on the back of your network card. If you are unable to get online, try the Internet troubleshooting page or give us a call at 1-866-386-7778. A technical operator will be happy to assist you.
