DTN Spartan Net provides one of the fastest internet connections in Michigan. But what good is a connection without something to download?
Starting Fall 2005, DTN Spartan Net will be partnering with the on-line music service Napster to give you a legal, safe, and easy way to explore and share music. With Napster, Spartan Net subscribers will be able to receive streaming and downloadable music though a complimentary subscription. All new and returning residents who have a current internet lease addendum in Fall 2005 will receive a Napster ID that can be used to access over a million legal songs.
The Spartan Net complimentary subscription to Napster allows individual access to tethered downloads from the Napster Music Library. Tethered downloads are a RENTAL of the song that you can listen to ONLY from your PC for as long as your subscription is active. If you want to OWN the song and be able to transfer it to an MP3 player or burn it to a CD, you have to pay $.99/song. If you want to continue renting the songs you have downloaded to your PC after your complimentary subscription ends, you will have to independently continue your subscription with Napster.
